1. Plan and Schedule concrete placement well in advance to avoid delays in delivery, placing, finishing and curing. 
2. There should be adaquate personnel available to place and finish the concrete.
3. Limit the addition of water at job site. Add water to concrete only upon arrival at the job site to adjust the slump. Never add water to concrete that is more than 1-1/2 hours old.
4. Thoroughly moisture the subgrade, forms, and reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement. Avoid standing water.
5. Begin curing the concrete surface immediately upon the completion of the finishing operation.
6. Make sure the proper compaction of the delivered concrete by using mechanical vibrators.
